Psalm 126 – New International Version (NIV)
A song of ascents.
- When the Lord restored the fortunes of[a] Zion, we were like those who dreamed.[b]
- Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
- The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
- Restore our fortunes,[c] Lord, like streams in the Negev.
- Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
- Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.

Psalm 126 – King James Version (KJV)
A Song of degrees.
- When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, We were like them that dream.
- Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
- The LORD hath done great things for us; Whereof we are glad.
- Turn again our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the south.
- They that sow in tears Shall reap in joy.
- He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
